- Initial Brief
  • My choice for my website topic is music . I chose this because I know the most about this subject out of the topics listed in my brainstorm. The aim of my website is to display information about music, (rules) . I will be updating the website as much as I can (hopefully once a day).
- Stakeholders
  • The main stakeholder for my project is myself.  My secondary stakeholders are Glen Ngawhare, Alisha Lawrence and Stehp. I plan to access my stakeholders information by making a comment box at the bottom where they can criticize or just comment on the information or the layout/design of the actual website
  • My stakeholders information will impact my project because I will use the different viewpoints of my stakeholders to improve my website and make it better. They could also make me see that I need to change my topic.
- Key Factors
  • Time - time is a high priority because I want to finish this project with extra time so I can go over it again and make it as good as it can possibly be
  • Copyright - copyright is a low priority because the topic I am doing is so popular, the information I am getting could be found anywhere by anyone.
  • Information - Information is a high priority because if I have old information and the information is not current, my website will fail and not be successful.
  • Stakeholders - My stakeholder are a medium priority because I need their feedback, but it is my website in the end

  • The 8 Golden rules of a good website are:  Planning, Content, Design, Involvement, Production, Follow-up, Promotion, and Maintenance
  • The Principles of a good website are: Primary Audience, Purpose for site, Location of Site, Types of Content, Information provided on the Home Page, Content, Level of Web technology to best suit the purpose,  Style to suit the Purpose, Consistency, Clarity, Resolution, Graphics, and Use of Frames
  • If I don't follow these factors, my website will not work and will not be successful
